Not even a week after leaving warm California, we got our second snowfall of the season in Pueblo (the first occurred while we were in CA and froze our garden :( ). The boys thought it was great fun to play in, and we even found a mound of dirt/sand across the street to do a bit of sledding on. We also discovered a rabbit that hung out on our back porch for the duration of the snow, leaving only if we came outside. We tried to put out a little shelter for him/her, but it preferred to sit by the column. The snow didn't last long, and soon we were just left with puddles (not the the boys minded, as splashing in puddles is also great fun). When we got too cold, we all came in and enjoyed fort building around the living room. We also got the nursery ready for Ruth to sleep in, and she transitioned easily into sleeping in her own room.
Oh, and I realized I forgot to mention, that shortly before leaving for California, we were able to convince Ezra to try using the potty for a day, which led to him using the potty full time immediately (except at night). So Ezra has spent the month having all these adventures in underwear now and it has been great to go back to just one in diapers! The best part is that, having been used to Micah (when he first learned to use the potty I had to take him often to avoid accidents) I started asking Ezra often as well until Ezra finally looked at me on Day 2 of potty learning and informed me that he would tell me when he had to go and to stop asking, lol. And he does tell me!
