So we got some much needed company for the last weekend of August! On Saturday we went to Englewood Metropark and hiked with Aelfa and saw a lot of bird wildlife. I also went shopping with Nana for a bit in the afternoon while Grandad held down the fort with Micah (Ezra tagged along with Nana and I and slept). On Sunday, Matt joined us after his shift for a morning stroll around Wegerzyn Children's Garden where we got to enjoy a lot of sensory fun (tasting and smelling plants, playing in water and sand, and playing some musical instruments). And on Monday (finally Matt had a day off!), Matt and I took the boys hiking in John Bryan State Park for a stroll along the creek.
We topped the end of the month off with a visit from Grandma for a couple of days (which I somehow have no pictures of...). We got to introduce Grandma to some of the neighbors and just stayed around the house and played. Between the grandparent visits, I felt much better and got some much needed breaks and help. Now I'm ready to tackle to roadtrips coming up at the beginning of September!
