On Wednesday, September 21, Matt, Micah, and I trooped to the Dr.'s office for the 20 week ultrasound of "Baby", We have decided, once again, to not find out the gender (it's just so much fun to make everyone wait ;) ), so we were mainly hoping to see Baby and be told that everything looked healthy. Baby, however, is very shy, and stayed curled in a tight ball the whole time, occasionally peeking out to give us a front view of the face. The good news is that everything does look great, but we didn't get to see Baby well thanks to the positioning. So we have no face profile picture to compare to Micah. I do get to have a 2nd ultrasound done to finish a few measurements that simply couldn't be taken due to Baby's position though! So maybe in a few weeks there will be a good profile picture to post.
In the meantime, Micah is learning to say "Baby", though he is way more obsessed with belly buttons than learning about the baby growing in Mommy's tummy. He is also obsessed with phones, computers, and I-pads. We have never given them to him to use, except when trying to cut his hair, but he loves to "use" them if found laying around (push buttons). That was great until we learned that we were getting locked out of devices because Micah was putting the incorrect passcode in too many times. So we talked to Micah about how he couldn't play on them. Which has led to an amazingly cute habit of Micah bringing electronic devices to me when found laying around and indicating to me that we need to put them up so they aren't played with. Hilarious! And makes me hope he will always listen so well.... I can dream, right? So instead of electronics, Matt taught Micah how to somersault, and Micah has taken up dancing (thanks cousin Seth!). Basically, life with a toddler is extremely entertaining and brings something new every day!
