We traveled to Newburgh a few days after Christmas for our celebrations with Matt's family. Again, Micah loved his presents and tried them all out. We set up his new farm train set at their house and he pushed his shopping cart of food around and dumped the food back and forth between the cart and the shopping basket. He also had a blast throwing pillows with Great Grandpa Woods and chasing Kali around. Right before we left, he got a lightsaber from Uncle Trent, which he enjoys getting out and using to hit his shopping cart. He found a hobby in piano playing with Grandma as well, and requested to get up and play many times over our three day stay. Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye on New Years Eve and spent the evening driving home, arriving back just in time to witness the new year arrive in our own home.
Micah seems to continue to grow and change daily throughout all of the holiday excitement. He's become a bit "bossy" lately and likes to order everyone around to suit his wants: "move", "come", "sit", and "help" being a few of his favorite commands. Thank goodness he's so cute! His ability to express his thoughts more have led to few frustrations for him and he's definitely a very content little boy knowing that he can be understood. He is also able to understand more and seems well aware that Baby is coming (though I seriously doubt he knows what all that involves). He has been helping me get all of his baby things out, washed, and he has been particulary interested in trying out the various baby toys to make sure they still work well! He's going to be a good helper with this new baby!
