Monday night it was over to Children's Hospital for a tour of the Labor and Delivery floor, as well as the Mom and Me floor after delivery. We also got to learn about the medicinal options for pain medicine and what would happen in the event of a C-section. It was good to get a feel for what things would be like, though it definitely made us think about how few weeks we really do have left!
Baby is really starting to make me feel that there can only be so many weeks left too. I can definitely tell Baby is growing by the several limbs, and/or butt I can feel poking out at any given time. It seems my stomach is much less symmetrical these days, usually lopsided to the right (for me) where Baby seems to enjoy poking his or her butt out. Baby is also moving constantly, and occasionally still getting the hiccups. Size wise, Baby should be about 17.5 inches long and weighs about 5 pounds (no wonder my belly is starting to feel quite heavy)! While Baby is getting a little longer, Baby is also filling out with fat to get ready for life outside of the womb. Additionally, Baby is busy listening in to any conversations happening around him or her.
