Both boys are growing and learning new skills like crazy! Micah is really into testing boundaries (yay!) and is busy having me practice hardcore patience. He's also (reluctantly) growing more independent. He can dress/undress (except the shirt) and use the bathroom all on his own, but convincing him to actually do it is a totally different beast. Ezra, on the other hand, is all about doing things himself. He puts dirty clothes in the hamper, cleans up trash, takes his dishes to the sink, sets the table, and gets his shoes and socks to go outside. Micah did too at this age... oh how things change! Ezra is also learning new words daily while Micah is enjoying using gibberish phrases. Maybe it's switch roles with your sibling month and I missed the memo? Despite the daily challenges, the boys make us laugh every day too with their brotherly conspiracies and hilarious insights into how they see the world.
Over the weekend, Nana and Grandad came back for a visit so they could join the boys and I at Carillon Historical Park for one of their train days. They had the miniature diesel train out running and we got to hop on for a ride! We also explored some of the rest of the park, including finding a fantastic leaf pile to play in as well as a model train that Micah got to control, before tuckering out and heading home for dinner. On Sunday, Grandad and I went on a Father-Daughter outing to the Wright Brothers retirement mansion here in town for a tour. It was really cool and a lot of fun to learn so much about them while we are living here.
