After our check in with Baby, Nana and Grandad came to visit for the weekend. Originally, Matt and I had planned to participate in a rogaine on Saturday and Micah was going to hang out with Nana and Grandad. However, the rogaine got cancelled, so Matt and I decided to go on a date instead. While we went and had lunch and visited Paint Creek State Park for a round of disc golf, Micah went to Carriage Hills Metropark. Then on Sunday while Matt worked, we took Micah to Oakes Quarry Park and had a little misadventure with our trail finding. So Micah had his first off-trail experience, though with the Casteel family around, it's doubtful that it's his last!
Nana and Grandad also brought an extra twin bed frame that they had so that we could put it together for Micah to get used to, as he will eventually move to it after Baby #2 comes. He helped Grandad put it together, and then promptly fell in love with it! He spent most of the weekend (when we were in the house) playing on his new bed with his stuffed animals and his trucks/tractors. He also loves that it is tall enough to allow him to see out the window, because the front of the house has all of the action with the neighborhood traffic driving by. Micah also found a flashlight that he is fascinated with using on his new bed. He can turn it "on" and "off" (picture him saying that in his cute little voice) all on his own. Let's just say that he thinks he is big stuff this weekend.
