In some aspects, this week has been a bit of a rough one for Micah, as he has been fighting naps and bottles at daycare. It seems that is pretty normal with all of the growth and development that has just exploded in the last couple of weeks (I'm pretty sure he grew an inch in the last 2 weeks, either that or his pants shrank). But Micah has still been an absolute blast to hang out with. He's staring to stand by himself for 10+ seconds, he's learned how to take things out of cabinets (at least it keeps him in sight while I cook!), and he is starting to try to imitate whole words. He nails the first sound(s) but then switchs back to his own language that I have yet to learn, lol. Not for lack of trying on Micah's part though, as he thoroughly enjoys talking and singing to me in his own language all the time. Today, he narrated our time at Target and I just had to nod my head and pretend to understand, much to the amusement of all who passed us ;)
We spent the weekend in Lafayette to celebrate my best friend from college's birthday. Micah got to hang out with 4 dogs and attend a party, which meant he had no interest in napping, lol. When we got home again, Matt and I decided it was time to give Micah his first major haircut. Matt provided the entertainment while I did the cutting. Micah was cooperative for a time, but quickly got tired of holding still, so the complete job is not completely straight, but is most definitely shorter! Micah's transformation to little boy is complete :(
