The Saturday before Halloween we trekked over to Brown County State Park and Nashville, IN to hang out with Grandpa, Grandma, Aunt Meredith, and Aunt Caroline for the day. We hiked, ate good food, and visited the nature center to warm up (the high was 45 degrees!). It was a fun day and the boys enjoyed getting out hiking again. Micah hiked almost the whole way himself!
We did not get out trick or treating this year, but Micah enjoyed helping us pass out candy to the neighborhood kids who came by before he and Ezra had to go to bed.
In fun news, Micah and Ezra really have started to enjoy playing together, being silly together, and even getting into mischief together! Ezra is starting to get around, though it is hard to describe just how it does it. It doesn't crawl yet, but he scoots on his bottom, rolls, and pulls himself to get where he wants to go. Micah thinks it's hilarious and likes to scoot around with him. Ezra also has 3 teeth now and likes to jabber quite a bit of the day. Micah likes to jabber back too. Micah has also taken to looking out for Ezra and will help him up if he topples over and sing to him if he gets hurt to "make him feel better." And Micah has definitely passed down his love of trucks and trains to Ezra. There are road crews doing some work in our neighborhood and the boys can just sit at the front door or out on the porch and watch them work. Or, their favorite, asking to go on a walk to follow the road crews around the neighborhood as they work! Let's just say the regular workers all wave at the boys now and get a little chuckle out of it.
