These boys are really becoming best buds and are hilarious to listen to. Seriously, toddler conversations can be the funniest and best part of your day (or the most annoying, depending on the conversation!). Micah is usually pretty good about modeling, but also giving verbal instructions, to Ezra for things he is supposed to do. It's so funny to hear a "mom phrase" come out of his mouth like he's the boss: "Ezra, do you see how I use my spoon to scoop my peas. Why don't you try to use yours too?" And Ezra is now old enough to respond back, which is great because his favorite phrase is "no" and he unashamedly uses it 75% of the time. Poor Micah gets turned down a lot! Most of the time they play really well together though and I can get things done while they drive their trucks, ride their tricycles, or run laps around the house!
Individually, Micah is REALLY into the "why?" stage and basically asks "why?" to anything said to him, even if it doesn't make sense to ask it. He also has to tell Mama EVERYTHING (including narrating bathroom breaks and chewing his food)... which is becoming a bit of a mental overload for me because it basically means Micah talks nonstop the entire day. I had no idea it was possible to talk so much in a day! Fortunately, he inserts really funny things here and there to give me a laugh for my sanity.
Ezra loves "wa-wa" (water), swings, slides, airplanes, trains, and trucks at the moment and we talk and read a lot about those things. He has also finally fallen in love with books and now takes several to bed with him each night and "reads" them to himself until he lays down to sleep on them. It's so cute. He's entered that "cute" stage with his sweet/sassy smile, snuggles, giggles, and cuddles. He can communicate just about anything he needs to and has even taken to using the potty every night before bath (just like Micah!). He loves to be a big kid and seems to do everything earlier to try to catch up to Micah!
