Well the high of the celebration weekend came to a low on Monday night when we got word that our buyers were backing out of the deal and our house was going back on the market... very frustrating to say the least. The house was quickly whipped back into shape and we commenced our previous pattern of having one showing a day for the rest of the week. So far, no luck with finding a buyer, but the boys and I have been getting out daily while the showings have been going on visiting the local parks and splash pads, quite possibly for the last time, which is a little bittersweet. The boys have been loving the water play at all the parks in this hot weather, so I don't think they've minded the showings much. In between showings the packing has continued slowly but surely as we wind down our time here. Our next grand adventure is drawing near!

The big weekend has finally arrived! It was a whirlwind weekend to wrap up Matt's (and our family's) 3 year residency journey here in Ohio. We started off Saturday morning at Carillon Historical Park for their Rail Fest, checking out the model trains and riding the rails. Then we celebrated Matt's graduation with all the grandparents and the boys in the afternoon. Saturday night was the formal graduation dinner and ceremony. Matt is DONE!
Since we decided to have Matt take July off while we transition to Colorado and add to our family, Matt decided to spent the last week of June picking up shifts at the local hospitals as an attending. That meant he unfortunately missed the Dayton Air Show on Sunday, but Grandma and Grandpa came with the boys and I to check out the airplanes and helicopters before the show, picnic at the Kettering Chalet, and watch the show. We all had a blast (it was Grandma's first air show!) though I think the boys loved riding the bus to and from the parking almost just as much, lol. It was definitely an action-packed weekend. Now begins the countdown of our last 2 weeks in Dayton! Happy Father's Day! Happy Birthday! Dad had quite the celebration Sunday with good food, cake, and a day off to spend with the family. And of course the boys thought that helping Dada blow out the candles was great. We also got to spend some time with friends at Eastwood Metropark later in the week hiking and playing in the creek.
The boys are very excited for our move to Colorado (we'll see if that sticks once we are there, but they are at least happy about it now). They have been willing helpers with packing, and they can tell you exactly how the move is going to go from all of our many conversations. They are also best friends most of the time which has made packing easier because they entertain each other with few issues most of the time. Micah is typically the leader in their activities though Ezra isn't afraid to speak his mind, lol. The are also both deeply in love with questions... Micah loves to ask how things work while Ezra is in love with the "why" questions. Needless to say, my question limit is exhausted by noon most days and yet the questions just keep coming. Micah is especially in love with questions about driving and traffic laws now that he is facing forward in his car seat. The hilarious thing is that Micah's obsession means that Ezra is also learning all the traffic laws through listening to Micah and watching out of his mirror. Backseat drivers are the best! (...not). One thing is for sure though, they keep life interesting! Whew, what a whirlwind few weeks! We put our house up for sale at the end of May, sold it 6 days later, and are awaiting inspection results. We had showings every day that the house was for sale, which meant lots of time outside the home at parks and at a friend's house. Grandad stopped by a couple of times on his way to and from Pittsburgh to hang out with us, and then the boys and I spent a weekend in Indy visiting Grandad and Grandma Judy. We attempted swimming, but it was a cool, cloudy day, so it didn't last long. We got in a couple of parks between rain showers, but it was definitely a rainy weekend in Indy! Despite all the weather obstacles, the boys had fun with Grandma Judy. When we got home, we were all excited to not have to worry about vacating for showings anymore!
