The Rodgers' family had a busy week! Grandma Rodgers spent part of the time with us - meaning I had more time to actually get things done while her and Micah bonded. Which turned out to be a wonderful thing when we got invited to Door County for the weekend with some friends. Let's just say that Micah's stuff was half of what we packed... and it takes a lot more planning to make sure you have everything for a baby! We did, much to some people's surprise I'm sure, get everything in the Honda Fit though! And Micah was a trooper for his first vacation - sleeping all the way up and back (a little over 2.5 hours each way). Our Door County vacation involved a lot of firsts for Micah - first vacation, first time in the car for longer than 15 minutes, first nights spent sleeping in the pack-n-play, first time watching the sunset, and most importantly - first time rolling over! That's right, Micah picked Door County as his first place to roll over - quite by accident, but all the same, it happened! It was a fun weekend, though rather exhausting. So Micah and I have taken the beginning of this week to settle back in at home and relax a little. Micah continues to be a great baby - sleeping quite a bit, eating well, and generally a happy baby. He has started to fight going to sleep sometimes, much to my dismay when it is 4 or 5 AM and I just want to go back to sleep, but that's about the worst I have to complain about, so I consider that a blessing. When he is awake, he enjoys being talked to, smiling (he smiles a lot, and it definitely seems to be a social smile), reading books, looking at contrasts, and hitting toys hanging from his activity gym. He also loves to look at himself in a mirror, whether during tummy time or diaper changes. In reality, our little man is just growing up too fast, learning new things every day!

The photo of Micah after he rolled over in his "Superman" pj's is great!
