On Saturday we got to visit Grandad's cousin's toy store, Imaginations Toy and Furniture. We love this store, and this is the perfect time of year to hit it up for Christmas shopping. Let's just say Nana and I had a lot of fun shopping and buying while Grandad and Micah played with the trains on the train table.
We hit up another hike Saturday afternoon, The Cascades. It was a beautiful hike to a waterfall along a creek, and Micah had a blast playing in it with Grandad.... though he did get a bit too wet! Before we headed home on Sunday we went to visit Great-Grandad's resting place. Micah and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to see the mountains again, but it was very good to get home to Dad too!
Throughout all of our travels, Micah has been gaining more vocabulary, in addition to all of his hiking skills of course. He is getting better identifying the primary and secondary colors (he seems especially determined to identify all things purple now that I told him that is my favorite color). He has learned more animal and food names in addition to getting a little bossier. He also loves to "count" (he points to the objects one at a time as you say the numbers), and has developed an unmatched love for his trucks which have traveled with him everywhere for the last two weeks and have been an endless source of entertainment for him. Finally, all of his teeth but his two year molars have broken through in his mouth, so he officially does have a mouth full of teeth! Hopefully this means he will stop chewing on so much...
