Micah and I then drove back home for a day to get Dad before driving up to Cleveland for a weekend with friends who are also in residency. Matt and Dan spent Saturday doing a 12 hour rogaine together while Jackie and I spent the day with the kids visiting parks and getting all three down for a nap at once! We then all spent Sunday together eating food and playing at the park. Micah enjoyed seeing Lorelei and James again!
All this travel doesn't seem to slow Micah down though! He's still learning new things every day, and making Matt and I smile with all of his personality. His new obsession is lights and he loves to point out lights and light switches constantly throughout the day. Bonus points if you let him turn the lights on and off. He's also discovered flashlights and LOVES to play with one in a semi-dark room so that he can follow the beam of light around the room. He is still absorbing vocabulary like a sponge, and amazes me every day with new animals he suddenly points out to me in books, new shapes he suddenly now knows, or new phrases he has picked up from me (up the stairs, open the door, etc.) He can also basically serve his own breakfast (as long as I help him open the refrigerator), make coffee for Matt, and give himself a bath. He's literally like a little messy man, and we are loving it. Fortunately he still likes his cuddles and kisses too, so we get lots of those throughout the day (when he isn't busy being a grown up).
