In the afternoons, Micah and I have mostly just been hanging out building blanket forts (which Micah promptly tears down), sliding, playing with cars and trains, and reading A LOT. Micah went through a phase where he really did not enjoy reading much, but he is back to loving it, and we have spent about 45 minutes straight each morning before swim class this week and then at some point in the afternoon reading book after book after book while he just sits in my lap and turns the pages. He also completed his first summer reading program at the library and got a free book and lunchbox! In addition to playing, Micah helps me make dinner most evenings, or will at least keep me company in the kitchen if there isn't any work for him. He's quite the little boy!
As the title suggests, Micah has been participating in parent-child swim lessons for the past week. And he loves it. In fact, his instructor just told me today that she has never had a baby as young as him love the water so much, lol. I think that was code for, your baby really loves to splash and kick and paddle around (with my help of course). He does not particularly love to be on his back, but let him be on his belly and he'll move his arms and kick his legs and grin away. He actually "graduates" from his first class tomorrow (8 sessions, 4 last week and 4 this week). It's been fun, but getting in cold pool water 4 days a week is not my favorite!

We can see Micah will be a great helper when baby comes.
