Micah turned 3 months while we were busy vacationing, and I never got the 3 month picture up on the blog, so there he is! Our big boy! This week we actually spent a few days at our house, which means we had to do laundry, put everything away, clean the house up a bit, clean the car out, and get our yard under control. I also had a training for school one day, so Micah stayed home with Dad. I missed him a lot, even though I came home for lunch to feed him and say hi. Unfortunately, Micah is going through a bit of a mom faze and was not super happy I was missing most of the day. But Dad took good care of him despite Micah not appreciating his efforts!
Then this weekend we headed out on yet another trip, to northern Indiana this time, for a family reunion on Matt's side. Micah was our champion car sleep like usual and slept all the way through our LONG trip through Chicago thanks to it being Lollapalooza weekend. He, of course, was then the star of the weekend. He has recently started using his voice A LOT, so he chatted everyone up a storm for a good portion of the weekend. This included Saturday morning at 6:30 AM... oops. Then when we got back on Sunday, Micah helped mom in the garden and we picked our first produce of the year! Pretty sure the zucchini is bigger than Micah....
In other Micah news, Micah has become a huge fan of being outside. He gets bored after a morning in the house, but will be happy as a clown as soon as we take him outside. So we now hang out on the hammock, lay blankets down on the front stoop and have tummy time, and of course water the garden or sit outside watching the cars and squirrels. We're going to need to get this kid a swing someday.... Micah also is getting better at self-soothing with his thumb, and loves to suck on it, or other people's shoulders, hands, fingers, whatever he's near.... He also sits on his own on the couch leaning against cushions without falling over now. Finally, he adores books and food. He will look at the pages, or our plates while we're eating, and get all excited. "We're Going on a Bear Hunt" is a current favorite book. And of course he will "talk" as you read and during dinner too!
