After the boys got naps in the afternoon we headed to Dunks Bay to let Micah play in the sand on a small beach and maybe wade a little (or so I thought). Little did I know Micah had other plans. Upon reaching the beach (after getting over the initial shock of naked women in the water) Micah headed straight for the water and just wanted to play and swim in its chilliness. So much for the pail and sand shovel I brought... Ezra explored and ate some sand before wading in for a quick dip. The beach didn't last too long though, because eventually the cold set in, so we dried everyone off, changed wet clothes, and headed back to the house for dinner and another fire on the lake.
Day 4 we decided to visit the most popular area of Bruce Peninsula National Park - The Grotto at Cypress Lake. My take going into the hike: "This is a pretty area but I'm not sure how pretty cliffs on the Georgian Bay can really be...". Getting there? "Wow, this place is gorgeous!" It was 60 degrees the day we went, but you can see in the picture above that in the summer those rocks are packed with people wading and swimming in the beautiful water and caves that dot this coastline. It was busy when we were there and it was a Tuesday in October. The Grotto itself is a large cave that the water has carved out but the whole area is just really cool. It was an easy hike too, despite what Ezra tries to say.

I was not copying you! Micah was! I was just the means to his end!
