A few days later, Nana, Aunt Jen, Jack, and Seth came to our house for a few day visit. This is the first time they have been to any of our houses (except Nana) so it was a special treat to have them! Micah was a little unsure about the takeover of his house by two other boys, especially when it involved his toys, but he quickly warmed up to the idea. We took them to a splashpad, the historic farm, and the Discovery Museum. Getting out with all three was quite the feat when working around naps, but it was so much fun to have built in playmates and company for a few days.
Micah is continuing to develop his fun personality and vocabulary. He loves to walk up to me and say "hug" with open arms. I get A LOT of hugs daily, and I love it. He has also started to figure out that he gets a kiss when he gets hurt, and will now come find me with his injury if I wasn't in the room to see it just so he can get his kiss (and of course a hug!) to make it better. He likes to watch dinner cook, and is constantly begging at my legs to be held up so he can see what I am doing. He is also in a hopping phase and hops around the house as he says "hop, hop...hop". He's getting better too! He can actually get a little air under his feet when he takes off with both feet now. It's definitely one of my favorite things to watch him do. When outside, he identifies the sound of the passing train as soon as he hears it (choo-choo!), and loves to watch and identify the school buses, cars, and trucks that drive through our neighborhood. He also can color match, though he doesn't name the colors on his own yet (he will repeat them when you say them). And of course he loves to practice wrestling and somersaults with dada on the bed when Matt does get home from work. Basically, he's just fun to hang out with :)
