It was so much fun to see everyone for this week, and we can't wait until next time!
The last week of January brought some very special visitors: three generations of Matt's family same to stay with us for a week! Aunt Meredith, Grandma, and Great-Grandma drove from Newburgh to our house in a day bearing food, gifts, crafts, and lots more helping hands to spoil our wonderful children! It was so much fun to have them all here as we spent the week playing games, working puzzles,, playing outside, crafting (Meredith is the queen of cute crafts and had my house ready for Valentine's Day before she left), and showing them a few of our favorite family hikes. Isaac received all the cuddles and was held for every nap, which he absolutely loved; Ruth had an endless audience for games, which she loved; Ezra had more than one set of hands to work puzzles and play games with him, which he loved; and Micah got a new Lego kit as an early birthday present, which, you guessed it, he loved. We also continued the tradition of celebrating Ezra and Aunt Meredith's birthdays together that we started back in Ohio, including having a cookie cake! At the end of the week, Matt and Micah went on an overnight Father-Son trip in which they hiked up a mountain to a backcountry hut with a bunch of other dads with kids and they all played and spent the night before hiking back out the next day. Micah was nervous about going without Ezra but ended up having a great time, especially enjoying some epic sledding!

Mom, Michelle and Meredith (the three generations) shared several fun stories about their visit! It sure looks like Matt and Micah had a fun time with their father/son trip as well. Nice! Thanks for sharing. : )
