While in Newburgh, we did not get any snow for the season, but it was VERY cold, so we took a morning to go and jump and the trampoline park to get out a bit. Ironically, we did have to drive home in the snow, and Micah had to help shovel us out the next morning!
On December 23rd we headed to Newburgh to spend the holidays with the Rodgers' family. All the aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents would be making an appearance, so we were really excited to get to see everyone! With Matt's schedule, it had been awhile. By Christmas Eve, almost everyone was in town and we decorated cookies, played with the croaking frogs, and visited. Christmas morning we got to open stockings and presents together, and of course start to enjoy playing with all of the gifts. Brotherly competition was in full blast as Micah and Ezra competed in basketball, and later in the week, The Very Hungry Hippo Game. Great Grandpa Woods came down for a couple of days too and helped Matt and I with some late night puzzles. It was so nice to just be able to relax! Unfortunately, Matt got sick part way through the week (after all his siblings had been sick), so he slept a lot and didn't get to enjoy as much family time as we had hoped. Getting the boys to smile and look was an adventure, haha!

We have great memories of Christmas 2017 with everyone in the family, including spouses, being a part of the 4 generation family photo in the sun room. We have wonderful memories of watching Micah activate the singing Christmas frogs, and we had a blast crawling on the floor with Ezra and watching him knock over the towers of blocks as soon as he spotted them!
