We also spent a considerable time playing Candy Land and Pop-up Penguin as the boys are still loving the board games and Krista had new ones to try out! One evening was also spent making cookies and watching a movie, much to the boys' delight. And our first evening there we attended Soup Night, a gathering of Krista's neighbors for dinner and socializing which is a weekly occurrence. They loved having us, as there are not many children in the neighborhood so the kids got a lot of attention. The favorite activity of the trip, however, was the visit to the fire station where the fire chief gave us a tour, let the boys sit in a truck, showed us the equipment, and gave the boys' their own fire helmets. The adults enjoyed it just as much as the kids, and if we returned in warmer weather, we were promised a ride on a truck! :) See you in the summer Lyons!
Matt had an entire week off this week, so we decided to spend a few days visiting our friends Krista and Dylan in Lyons, CO. They live on the side of a mountain, so we borrowed Grandad's truck to get up there in the snow. As you can see from the pictures, we spent a lot of time outside in the snow playing and sledding. They already had snow on the ground when we arrived, but they got more while we were there too, so the boys had a blast in more snow then they've seen in a while. Ruth got out in the snow too, and was mostly my buddy. Micah buddied up with Matt, and Ezra was Dylan's partner for sledding as neither boy could haul a sled and themselves up the hills each time. Matt and Dylan got a good workout in though, lol.

Thanks for the posts! It is so nice to get to keep up with your many activities. Cool photo of Ezra after he face planted. Looks like he took it like a pro. Sounds like it was a wonderful visit with your friends.
