Back to Mom and Baby: Additional changes seem to be occurring with hormone levels, as much of Saturday and part of Sunday was spent resting on the couch feeling like I had motion sickness. But that just means that Baby is busy growing and changing! This week Baby should be about an inch long and the size of a green olive. Baby is developing muscles and the heartbeat is getting stronger and louder. Hopefully next visit we'll be able to hear it!
With school starting, well, today, Baby and I have been spending a lot of time at school getting things ready, attending staff meetings, and meeting our students for the year at "Back to School Night". Just like every other year, I anticipate some challenges for my new class, but hopefully it'll be a good year! Dad was busy all week starting his medicine rotation, so we've been learning a lot about what being a hospitalist is all about! As a family, we traveled to Spring Green, WI (west of Madison), had a picnic, and attended "Much Ado about Nothing" on Sunday with some of the couples in our Bible study. We had never seen it before, but it proved to be a wonderfully funny Shakespeare play with a (you won't believe it) happy ending!
