On that note, Micah turned 9 months old last weekend, and he is changing a lot.... fast! His 7th tooth popped through, he now loves to stand holding on to something, he can take steps around whatever he is holding on to, he can pull himself up, he is imitating sounds with ease, and he is making more letter sounds than ever! He continues to love any and all food, but yogurt is a special favorite. He has also started making goofy grin faces, much to the amusement of his watching parents. As another sign of his growing up, Micah has been upgraded to a convertible car seat in both cars!
It seems like forever since Christmas Break, but the calendar says it's only been 2 weeks; we've managed to settle back into our home routine in WI, and WI has settled into it's winter routine of snow and cold. Consequently, we are spending all of our time indoors, and Micah has had to settle with watching the outside world through the windows for the most part. To help Micah cope with being inside all winter (and to help him stay safe) we bought him a big carpet and have used it to set up his own play area in what used to be our dining area. We are able to keep him contained in the area if needed, and it helps give him a soft landing spot when he topples over from playing with his activity cube. Micah is loving all of his new toys from Christmas, though he loves standing more! He spends the time while I get ready in the morning standing and playing at one of his activity cubes/tables, and will get mad if he falls over and is having trouble pulling himself back up.
