Fortunately, Micah is pretty fun to hang out with and definitely brings humor to my waiting game! He has recently re-discovered his love for the bouncer and has taken it as his lounging chair while we wait for Baby. He crawls up every day and just chills out for a while! The weather has also been warmer, so we have been getting out with Micah to some of the surrounding parks for some adventuring. Micah especially loves puddles and rocks, so after a rainy few days we took him over to Oakes Quarry Park and let him splash his heart out and play on the rocks. Another day, we took a day trip over to Hocking Hills and explored the Old Man's Cave area. Micah would have just stayed on the first 10 feet of trail and played in the puddles, so we had to keep encouraging him that there were more puddles to be found so that we could actually hike a little. He was very hesitant to believe us and preferred to just splash through the same puddles over and over. It was an awesome park though that made me feel like I was in The Lord of the Rings for a bit. I think I had the most fun just checking out all the bridges, tunnels, and waterfalls! On the way home, we were able to meet up with a high school friend and her fiance for dinner, which was really fun. Micah behaved the part of a perfect gentleman and made it easy to catch up and relax.
In Micah news, Micah is really into phrases and repeats almost all phrases he hears. He has also been getting more adventuresome with his communication and tries to say words and phrases that we haven't quite figured out yet, which can be fun for all of us to try to understand each other. Thank goodness Micah is pretty laid back! He is also loving all of his Christmas presents and cooks in his kitchen and works in his workshop daily, plays with his train, reads his new books, and puts together his favorite alphabet puzzle. He's starting to learn some of his letters, and can count to 10 when he wants to. And of course he makes us laugh every day with his personality.
