Dad spent a lot of time studying, but we did get some down time to hang out as a little family over the weekend. Dad taught Baby and I how to play Stratego, and then promptly beat us... clearly the 2-1 advantage of players did not help our cause. We also watched the Colt's game together, cheering them to their victory on Sunday evening. Finally, we settled into what has become our winter tradition of puzzles by the fire at the Rodgers' house - completing a quick 700 piece puzzle.
Baby has been providing entertainment of his or her own this week with hiccups, kicking, and increased movement. Dad has taken it upon himself to check Baby's position in the evenings, which leads Baby to kick back at Dad for the poking. It's pretty funny, and also very cool to be able to feel different parts of Baby against the uterus wall now that Baby is getting bigger. Speaking of size, Baby is about 2.5 pounds and around 16 inches long this week! Baby is also able to blink in the uterus, and now has started dreaming in his or her sleep. Baby's lungs are now basically fully developed as well, so that is a huge relief in case of early arrival. Hopefully Baby will keep cooking for the next 3 months though!
