As for the weekly Baby update, Baby should be about 1.5 inches long (roughly the size of a prune). Baby is growing bones and cartilage, as well as forming knees and ankles on his or her legs. Additionally, Baby has a functioning stomach and kidneys, as well as moving arms! Finally, Baby is already forming teeth under his or her gums. In just a week, we will get to see Baby in another ultrasound to confirm just one Baby Rodgers - just to make sure. So we'll get another look at just how big Baby Rodgers has gotten, which I am very excited about! As for Mom, I've has minor bouts of nausea on the weekends, but have thankfully felt great during the week And aside from craving Mexican, and some soreness, have not felt any different from pre-pregnancy :)
10 weeks and 1/4 of the way to meeting our bundle of joy! Baby and I spent the week in 3rd grade, getting to know our new students (though they have not idea, yet, that Baby is sitting in on class). It looks like we'll have our challenges, just like every year, but hopefully we'll start to settle in with the start of a full week of school. To celebrate making it through the first week of school, and to quench Mom's craving for Mexican, Matt and I did meet up with some friends of ours for a dinner out on Friday night. Matt and I got to watch their little one with fascination, realizing that in less than 7 months, we'll have one of our own! Following that though, the weekend was a bit dull, as Saturday was spent working for both Mom and Dad, and Sunday involved catching up on yard work, house work, and laundry. The one bright side for Dad was the start of football season, which he is enthusiastically ready to share with Baby. I think we can reasonable predict Dad and Baby pictures watching football together next year (awww!).
