Micah has continued to develop at an alarmingly quick rate. He started crawling on his knees (finally!) on Monday, February 1. At home, he still prefers to slide on the floor, but he will crawl on his knees some and definitely uses his knees to help him stand up holding on to just about anything (including just a flat wall). This also means he know cruises all around the kitchen opening cabinets, banging on the refrigerator, and licking the front of the dishwasher (don't ask, he's weird ;) ). He continues to learn more and more sounds, and has started saying and associating "Da-da" with Matt as of this weekend. He also turned 10 months old on the 10th! He gets more adventuresome with his cruising each day, so I know we're going to continue to be in for surprises each week!
I can't believe it's already been 2 weeks since our last post! It's been a bit of a blur, but we'll start back 2 weeks ago when I mentioned that Micah had been sick and Matt and I were starting to feel sick too. Well.... Matt and I got sick, badly. He and I were down and out for most of the week. Matt barely was able to get up to work before coming home and falling back in bed each evening. I made it to work most days, but ended up staying home on Thursday of that week just so that one of us could get some rest and take care of Micah, because we were both feeling pretty dead! But we made it through, and my parents came to help out last weekend as we finished recuperating. My Dad (Grandad) also helped us get our basement up to snuff so that we can put the house on the market after Match Day if we need to. This past week then, we just played catch-up to get our home and work stuff done after our week of being down and out. This weekend, we made it down to visit Matt's Grandma and Grandpa Woods in northern Indiana. Micah had fun getting to show off his new cruising skills and sounds.
